For the first time, the University of Tartu has reached a position among the top 250.

A team of Estonian scientists built a prototype that not only extracts CO2 from the air but also turns it into a high-end chemical that can be used t make fuel.

All university members are invited to nominate candidates who would deserve to be awarded the university's honorary decoration for their outstanding achievements.

The design competition for the green area in Maarjavälja, which ran until mid-August, received three entries. The authors of the entries were published on 5 September at the University café.

The University of Tartu senate’s decision not to admit new students from Russia and Belarus this year to bachelor’s and master’s studies has caused much controversy. Some people see this as a particular discriminatory step against the young people of these countries, including opponents of the regime, depriving them of the opportunity to study in the free world.
